
On October 26th, AP Real Estate and Urban Village co-sponsored a flood relief to support people affected by flood in Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh. Earlier in October, Cambodia has been hit by flood. Since early October, they country has experienced heavy rainfall in most areas nationwide. Housing, farming lands, and infrastructures have been effected – and around 175,872 families in 14 provinces and Phnom Penh have been impacted, as of October 26th (Source: Relief Web).
“Social participation and contribution are our responsibility as citizens – it is our duty to help people in need. What’s more helping others also uplifts our spirit. For today charity event, we want to share our care and love to everyone especially the people affected by flood in Dangkor district, Phnom Penh, and we hope that this can also help to promote our culture of helping each other in times of difficulty,” said Chariya Ear, CEO of AP Real Estate.
The companies brought food relief and some cash to support 300 families and local authorities in Dangkor. The organizers understand that the relief could only help them for a short period, but it was a gesture of support and care and to let them know that they are not alone, and that it is necessary to help one another in time of difficulty.
